This pen I picked up at a "Flea Market" It is actually a mechanical pencil finished in a chrome effect. The clip has "Made in Denmark" stamped on it. On the barrel there is stamped the logo & words "Home Line". The pen does have a medium size bubble. The picture of the boat appears to be fixed (the slide being longer than normal) & there is no background. The pen length is 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cms). The chrome effect gives the illusion of a metal writing instrument.
Homeric (1954-1973)

The ship depicted in the picture appears to be the Homeric. Built in 1931 as the Mariposa for Matson Lines. Out of service between 1947 - 1953. Home Lines bought her & renamed her Homeric. She was used for the North Atlantic service in 1955 running cruises to the West Indies. 1964 saw her doing year-round cruising. Later being replaced by a newer ship & being assigned Caribbean cruises. 1973 saw a major galley & restaurant fire. 1974 she was scrapped. Below is a picture of the Homeric
