Created in 1958  by the Hanna Barbera team who also created The Flintstones & Scooby Doo.  First introduced in The Huckleberry Hound show in 1958. Yogi was so popular that in 1961 he got his own TV series. With his side kick Boo Boo & park warden Ranger Smith.  He resided in JelleyStone park & spent most of his time devising methods of swiping the tourists "pic-a-nics" baskets.

This Floaty is in fact a mechanical pencil. I am not sure if it is manufactured by Eskesen. The float bit is a 3D Yogi. The tip is metal.  I would suggest that it was made in the mid 1960's.
